4th of July (and surrounding dates)

4th of July was a busy busy day! The morning was spent at our ward's pancake breakfast. We had Hannah and Emma too, so it was a lot of busy fun. Ken Murphy (from our ward) takes a lot of pictures, and he snapped some of David at the breakfast. They can be seen on his facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1833974189&ref=ts#/album.php?aid=5043&id=1833974189&ref=mf After the breakfast, we headed over to the Johnson house for a BBQ. Dave made homemade rootbeer (which turned out pretty well ) and we did some swimming and playing. It was fun to see David play with his cousins, Hannah, Chloe and Tucker. He absolutely loves Hannah (must be the name thing) and had his arms wrapped around her neck for most of the day. Dave was sooooo excited to be making root beer! David loved swimming this time (the water was a little warmer). He also enjoyed his new floaty and the independence he has. He DOES try to crawl out of it sometimes though... After the Johnson's, we headed home for a Sprague BBQ. We made homemade ice cream (which I got to eat this year since I'm not pregnant) and had some yummy food. Then we did fireworks in the street. Something about fireworks puts David to sleep... but he does enjoy them. We snapped a family portrait in our red, white and blue. David and Daddy watching the BIG fireworks on the next street over... The next day, we traveled to Tehachapi for the blessing of Chase Holloway. He looked so little next to David, and we had to stop David many times from "playing" with the baby. He loves other babies, but doesn't realize some of them are too small to tackle and hug and kiss! I love this picture of the daddies with their babies! Congrats again to Elizabeth and Shawn!
