When lost things are found...

When David was a week and a half old, we lost our camera. It had pictures from the hospital and video of his first bath that had not yet been transferred to the computer. I was sooo sad to lose those precious moments thinking I would never see the camera again. We have been searching everywhere for it since then. We looked at the Johnson house, all over our house, called the pediatrician's office and the airport (both are places we had it on the last day) and no luck. We recently admitted defeat and decided we should try to buy a new camera. Black Friday came and I couldn't get the camera we had decided on, so the search continued. We found an Olympus in this week's ads for $159 and it looked like a really nice one. We don't really have the money, but my sister needs her camera back, so we decided it was probably as good a deal as we woulod find and we ordered it yesterday (Sunday). Today, Dave decided to pull out his N64 to hook it up to the new TV my parents got. Guess what he found in the box.... the camera!! Yup, the day after ordering a new one, we found the lost one. So, we had to e-mail the seller (we got it on Amazon for $131) and now cross our fingers that since it hasn't shipped yet, they'll let us cancel the order. If not...I guess we just got a nice Christmas present...

Isn't that always how it happens? Congrats on finding the camera and all those precious pics! Those are such important pictures in the first few weeks of life. What a relief.
