After my nieces got out of school for the summer, all of the women and kids took a trip to the Santa Ana zoo. (They have the best tacos in the world right outside the gates by the way). It was David's first trip to the zoo and he was asleep for like half of it. It's not the biggest zoo in the world, and they don't have the African animals--lions, zebras, giraffes... It was pretty much all monkeys and goats. We DID watch a little animal presentation and the kids all got to touch the animals. David was a good sport and pretty interested in them.
We didn't see the bords at first because they blended into the plant so well. This was the "Birds of the Amazon" exhibit. We saw about 100 turtles and like 3 kinds of birds. Amazing huh?
The carousel had a spinner! David was asleep, so he missed out.

Falling asleep...
Laura spun them at one point and they were going sooooo fast.
